Ten in Ten — Ten prints in ten days! Talk about crazy!!!

Howdy Folks! This past few weeks I joined Emily of Base Camp Printing Co. (See her 10 in ten on Instagram: @basecampprintingco) in an attempt to produce 10 prints in 10 days. It was a wild ride and made for some late nights, but I couldn’t be happier with the body of work that came from it! All prints are available in the shop! Cock-a-doodle-doooooooo!!!!

Well a-cock-a-doodle-doo and a cluck, Cluck, CLUCK!
This new chicken print has us all excited!!!

Well if’n this friendly chicken ain’t the cutest little feller!
This was a labor of love and an homage to our backyard, egg laying friends.

Here are some pics from the process as well as a short video whilst printing:

We started things off with the initial artwork…

then transferred it to the stamp block and got to carving!

It was off to the races, 1st layer, carved and printed!

Here’s a close up…

Decided to add another color… a touch of red…

With the red done, it was back to the original block,
carving the 3rd/final layer from the initial yellow block.

Inking up the final block… onward and upward…

…and YEE-HAW! We have a chicken print!

Here are our little friend drying on the racks!

We couldn’t be happier with the way this print worked out!

Ever enjoyed something for yourself that was truly awesome?

…watched a friend reach their goal, accomplished one of your own,
or watched your kiddo score his first goal in the ever intensified sport
that is little league soccer?

If you have… you know the feeling…

While names have been changed, what you’re about to read is a true story.

It was a beautiful spring day, birds were chirping, turtles were sleeping,
and little Spike Johnson had just taken the field. He was excited, he was
nervous, but above all, he was determined.

He had been to every practice, was wearing his lucky shark tooth necklace,
and had eaten a big bowl wheaties, He approached the game that day with
confidence and went forth with a fire in his belly to score his first goal.

With thunder in his foot and the speed of a puma he chased the “polyester
and/or cotton bonded (laminated)” ball and struck it with all the power that
his seven year old frame could muster……

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!

That’s right folks, all the hard work had paid off. Spike Johnson had scored
his first goal.

To this day, no one really remembers who won the game that beautiful spring day.
They do remember how spike felt though. When asked by reporters (Spikes Mom)
how it felt to have finally scored his first goal, Spike replied how only Spike could…

“IT WAS LIKE AN ELECTRIC GUITAR GOING OFF IN MY HEART!!!”

So, whatever your goal, whatever your accomplishment, we hope you will enjoy this

to celebrate the awesome things in life, and inspire you to share those stories as you

New Chinese Dragon Art Print!

While We were quick to get this on Instagram, we couldn’t summons enough dragon power to get this beauty up on the site and in the shop!

Wait no longer….

We’re not sure if he’s on the streets of Chinatown, or actually strolling the streets of Shanghai, but we do know he’ll look right at home on your wall!

This is a linocut, reduction print, handmade and printed on our beautiful Chandler & Price Letterpress.

Actual artwork measures 5.75″ wide x 3.75″ tall, printed in red and black ink on an 8.125″ x 6.25″ sheet of French Paper 100# Cover, Pure White.
